About Gwynne: Gwynne Grasberger’s day job is Associate Vice Provost for Research Development in the Office of Research & Innovation at Drexel University. She is an entrepreneurial-minded, results driven senior leader who has served in the public, private and non-profit sectors for more than 30 years. Gwynne earned both her B.A. Education and M.S. Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.

As a lover of arts and culture, especially music, Gwynne has subscribed to the Philadelphia Orchestra for decades. Since 2013, Gwynne has served the Philadelphia music community as a volunteer in multiple capacities. As a current member of the Board of Directors, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, she chairs both the Audience Engagement Committee and the DEIA Working Group. She is the former Chair of the Board of Directors, Choral Arts Philadelphia, and the Bach Festival of Philadelphia. Gwynne is the former co-organizer of the Philadelphia Classical Music Meetup that paired social activities with concerts. She, and her husband Don, a tenor who sings in the choir, are members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

Why MFS is important to Gwynne: “I attribute my fondness of baroque music to my childhood activities, ballet and piano lessons, and music appreciation in college. It fills my spirit. Throughout my formative years, my school curriculum valued and cultivated musical experiences. Unfortunately, so many children are either not exposed or under-exposed to the cultural and artistic impacts of early music and how it permeates today’s popular music. MFS continues to invest in and elevate Philadelphia’s musical life and legacy as a partner in its evolution and impact.”
