Investing in the musical life and legacy of Philadelphia

Board Spotlight: Adrian Rosas

September 20, 2024
Hailed by the New York Times as “a stalwart bass-baritone with a burnished voice”, Adrian Rosas is an alumnus of The Juilliard School and has performed on opera and concert stages around the globe. In addition to being a performer, Adrian is a dedicated arts educator and administrator. He is currently the Manager of Orchestral Music Programs at the Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts and is co-founder of Arts on Site. As an educator, he has maintained a private voice studio for over 15 years and held voice faculty positions at the California State Summer School for the Arts and Hunter College.

Why is MFS important to Adrian?

“The Musical Fund Society is a hidden gem among Philadelphia’s arts nonprofits. With over 200 years of supporting musical performances, musicians, and enthusiasts, the organization is now on a mission to highlight its invaluable contributions to the musical community in Philly. This includes substantial institutional grants for innovative projects by other arts nonprofits, individual artist grants for local Classical and Jazz musicians, and an ever-expanding list of benefits for its members. I am honored to serve on the board of directors for MFS and look forward to spreading the word about the Society’s invaluable support for our local community.”
